Teachers To Go is looking for a part-time in-person homeschool teacher to teach a 7 year old boy with autism and dyslexia at his home in Houston, TX 77019 Monday-Friday mornings from 8am-11am. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time morning position teaching one student that pays $50/hour ($750/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a certified elementary teacher (any state) who has prior experience teaching students with autism (either inclusion or special education) who is able to teach a 7 year old boy to read, along with other academics. (The family is willing to collaborate with the teacher about recommended curricula.) The teacher will work to identify educational and other development, and review progress with the parents.

Looking for a teacher who is patient, extroverted, loving, diligent and attentive. The right teacher will know reading levels/TEKS, and be reactive to the needs and abilities of the student. Applicants should have experience working with autistic kids, and be able to use the student’s strengths to pull up his weaknesses.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA/BS and state teacher certification (any state), along with some prior experience working with students who have autism.
