Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an early elementary teacher in-person for an energetic and gifted boy going into kindergarten who will teach at his home. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a private homeschool position teaching only one student Monday-Friday from 8am-1pm that pays $40/hour ($1000/week), beginning on August 20th for the 23/24 school year.

Looking for a teacher who is persistent and stern, yet caring and patient. The right teacher will be able to command respect, but will also be reactive to the student's needs. An early elementary teacher who is accustomed to kindergarten and 1st grade boys who are very smart but with a lot of energy, and who can help them focus, is ideal. Looking for a teacher who is innovative and creative in their teaching. Prior experience with gifted and/or twice-exceptional students is a plus, but not required.

Teacher candidates should have BA or BS and a minimum of two years of professional elementary teaching experience. Certification is preferred, but not required if the teacher has years of professional teaching experience with the appropriate age group. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the child to learn from parent-approved curriculum. (Parents will choose a curriculum, but are also open to collaborating with the teacher about the curriculum as well.)

Requirements

- Must have a BA or BS and minimum of 2 years professional elementary teaching experience. Teacher certification is preferred.
- Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must travel to the home of the student in Jackson TN 38305 Monday-Friday from 8am-1pm.
