Full Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for a part-time homeschool teacher in-person for two boys, ages 6 and 4. Experienced male teachers with a focus on reading who are knowledgeable about Black history and who can deal with high energy are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time homeschool teaching position two hours daily Monday-Thursday, either 9am-11am OR 4pm-6pm that pays $35/hour. This is an immediate opening for the current school year.

The right teacher will be patient but stern, and able to deal with high energy. Looking for a teacher who can focus on reading and writing for boys who are having trouble learning how to read. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children to learn from parent-approved curricula (parent is open to collaborating with new teacher about curricula), reviewing topics and assignments, assessing and filling in learning gaps, and engaging, reacting and adopting education to each individual child.

Teacher candidates should have a minimum of two years of professional elementary teaching or tutoring experience working with elementary-aged K-5 kids. Teachers To Go has been offering classroom teachers private tutoring job opportunities with flexible scheduling and competitive pay since 2007.

Requirements

- Must have a minimum of 2 years full-time professional elementary teaching experience, or 2 years full-time tutoring experience working with elementary-aged kids. BA or BS is preferred.
- Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must travel to the home of the client in Tamarac FL 33319 Monday-Thursday for two hours each day, either mornings from 9am-11am OR after school from 4pm-6pm.
