Teachers To Go is looking for an experienced California certified K-12 classroom teacher to teach all core subjects in-person for three children (ages 10-15) at their home in Laguna Beach, CA 92651, Monday - Friday from 9am-3pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position with part-time hours (30 hours/week) that pays $50/hour ($1500/week), plus an option for $5,000 annual health insurance stipend. This position has a flexible start date for the right teacher (begin anytime as soon as May 1st to September 6th) and a flexible school year schedule. Teacher will teach remotely via Zoom whenever the family is traveling, which is roughly 2 weeks per quarter.

Looking for a teacher who is fully qualified and able to teach and facilitate all subjects for grades 4-10 (especially writing/language arts and math), who will be responsible for teaching and overseeing the Cabrillo Point Academy curriculum for all three students. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children through the curriculum, reviewing topics and assignments, assisting students with work, projects, test prep, papers, research, and documenting instructional time, assessing and filling in any learning gaps, and reacting and adopting education to each individual child. Two of the students have ADD/ADHD and dyslexia, so some prior experience working with students with dyslexia is preferred.

The right teacher will be upbeat & positive and honest & straight-forward, someone who will respect the kids and get respect back. Teacher should also be creative with good communication and confident in their teaching style. Looking for a teacher with the ability to meet each child where he/she is, and then push him/her to where he/she can go.

The right teacher will also have a strong desire to occasionally supplement the curriculum with additional learning opportunities that align with the family's travel destinations. Prefer a teacher who is multi-disciplinary and interactive, who can also provide creative hands-on delivery of lessons and/or supplemental activities when appropriate. Outdoor-oriented or appreciation of outdoor activities is a plus. Some prior experience with homeschool curricula (especially faith-based or Christian) is also a plus.

Teacher candidates should have their CA Teaching Certificate, with at least a few years of professional classroom experience. Looking for a long-term relationship with the right teacher.
