Teachers To Go is looking for a middle school teacher to teach all core subjects in person to a 6th grade boy who is homeschooled at his home on Lake Travis in Lago Vista, TX 78645. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: "part-time hours with full-time pay" (Monday- Friday 10am-2pm or 11am-3pm, minimum 15 hrs/week guaranteed except for holidays and vacations) that pays $75/hour.

Looking for a middle school teacher with classroom and 1-to-1 teaching experience who can create a customized curriculum or use existing curricula for all core subjects. The teacher will write and deliver daily lessons and regular assessments to a 6th grade boy who is homeschooled and who is often involved in traveling.

The teacher we seek will have a sense of humor and be engaging, collaborative, flexible, and able to explain "why" to an inquisitive 6th grade student. The right teacher should have excellent communication skills and be able to engage the student using real life scenarios while inspiring him to meet academic standards. The teacher will also be a team player who can collaborate and communicate regularly with the parents, and be comfortable and tech savvy enough to teach remotely when student is traveling or out of town.

Requirements: Minimum 1 year of professional in-person classroom teaching AND 1-to-1 tutoring or teaching is required. BA and Texas teacher certification is preferred, but not required. This position is in-person, and the family is located on Lake Travis in Lago Vista, TX 78645 about one hour outside of Austin. Must be willing to travel to the home of the student Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm or 11am-3pm when family is in town, and have your own reliable transportation. Must be willing to teach remotely if/when family is out of town or traveling.
